Frame 2 Frame Animation

Animation in Photoshop

This is the very first video that I could find on YouTube. It's a very basic video showing how the frame by frame animation works. I didn't find it difficult because I have already taken 2D Animation classes, and the process is similar to that. The video used basic frame by frame method and also onion skinning to keep the track of the object.

This video is also a basic tutorial but instead of using onion skinning he uses the duplication of layers and later deletes it. The video also suggests that if you want color or any other object in the video, then just add it from the beginning because, later it's gonna be difficult as you have to add that in all the frames. I liked the way he made his animation 3dimensional, but I think making different dimensions and keyframes would have been difficult.
This video is a very detailed example which focuses more on the background, colors and also perfection. I really liked how she worked on details. The way she edited part by part in every frame was really clever. I think it would have taken a lot of thought and time to create this.

Stranger Things

Edit yourself in a movie scene

The first thought that came to my mind was Stranger Things. It's one of the most mysterious sci-fi series; it was the most watched series and maintained a constant position as top 10 watched Netflix series. I chose the most epic scene which is from season 4; where Max is in the air subconsciously fighting with Vecna(the monster) and her friend are shocked.

The tools and techniques used are masking, hue and saturation, healing and stamping. I made different masks and adjustment layers to match with the scene. I also edited out the grave on the left to fit myself inn properly.

Somewhere

 Inspiration for the project

This is a picture that would be a little tedious to edit because of there is a lot of overlapping and it also has fur, I think capturing and editing a proper angel may take a lot of work.

This picture is inspiration for my project. This picture is a perfect example of doing something unexpected. I am very bad at acting, but I have tried my best to act for the scene and picture I chose for my project.

This picture is really hilarious which made me laugh out loud. She wanted the boy to be edited out but the output she got was, I LIKE HIS FACE. It's really funny and made me smile.

This illusion is really an interesting one, which I might want to recreate. Never believe any thing from Instagram. Nowadays, AI can also edit the pictures very accurately as instructed.

Pop art

 Creating in 3 different colors

Creating a pop art using photoshop was a little difficult in the beginning, but eventually I got a hang of it. Making it involved different processes; like choosing a color palette, selecting where to fill which color. I really enjoyed while making them. I used different tools like masks and also created different layers to get the desired output.

I took this picture during the spring break, I attended an Indian festival away from home for the first time. When there is Indian festival henna is a must. The henna in my hand was home made from herbal plant and I drew the design myself. First I decolorized the picture and turned it into a black and white version. Later I used selection tool to selected the desired area and then used the tool called create new fill as adjustment layer and created a mask. Later I used eye dropper tool to get the exact color from my palette and then filled the selected are with it.  Later I repeated the same process for different selected area and filled them with desired colors. I created three different versions of my original picture.

Abstract: The art of design

Platon: Photography
The documentary left a deep impact. It had very touching and relatable moments. The emphasis on capturing the raw moments and experiences made the narrative powerful. When he said 'never allow your tools to dominate the message' said it all. He also mentioned that great design is when all those things take backseat and you get the message. It is truly said that real power lies in simplicity. I marked one thing from the documentary that it's all about 'eyes'. Eyes are vital symbols to convey the message of the picture. Every photo tells a story, it's all about eyes, hands and posture.
I am really touched by the philosophy Platon- the photographer used. Specially the concept of maintaining eye contact with the person and asking them to pour out their emotions. People are often worried about getting a good picture, but photography is all about moments rather than creating the moments.
The picture I chose is special because I am really close to my culture and my god. I love celebrating Indian festivals, and when we celebrate festivals henna is a must. I am very fond of every type of art form, from linear art to mandalas. I have tried all of them and it makes me feels amazing to know all of them. This picture is from the time when I celebrated a festival here for the first time, away from home. I myself drew the henna, it simply made me happy. I think in this picture my eyes are enough to understand how happy I was.
