 Final assignment

    A very long but a fun assignment. For the cover page I edited my own picture making it more dreamy. For the about me and content page I created them in Fresco(an adobe app) and made it look similar to the cover page. I wanted to make my own template for the portfolio and put some extra effort, so I decided to use different colors for every two pages which matches the pictures, mostly pastels and shades of blue. The portfolio includes all the work I have done this semester.

I really like making cartoons and enjoy making illustrations. My all the three cards are made on the basis of being an animator and illustrator. I have included logo, contact information, email and Instagram Id. I have also used some creative drawings as the background to make it look more attractive. I have attached my sketches and the final output.

Solar Eclipse 2024

Key west has been the most amazing place I have ever visited after moving to United States. The end of USA was literally a magical place. I am really fond of pretty skies believe that sky is always beautiful. Watching sunsets have become my new hobby and I like it that way. I chose to do the post card for Key West, though it was only 60% visible in Florida it's still beautiful.

I started by selecting a picture of Key west online and then setting up the text and pictures in the right place.  For the second page I decided to put phases of moon, my tag brush and some lines for address.

 

InDesign

 Starting with InDesign

This video is a basic tutorial to get started with InDesign. It explains all the panels and tools, it also includes how to create a basic version of the edit. I think it's pretty similar to PowerPoint, the only difference is it's more flexible and vector based. Maximum tools and shortcut keys are same as other Adobe apps.

This video gives 10 important tips to the beginners. It covers basic knowledge of how to edit text, images and adjust them according to you. I think some tools are a little confusing but are very useful after you understand how to use them.

This video is amazing if you want to understand tricks to make your edits smartly.  This video covers many tools and methods which a regular tutorial may miss. It was really good to know that there is a color theme tool too in InDesign. The tips are really helpful. I tried looking at the app while watching the video.

GIF

HEART

Frame to frame animation is something I have already done in my animation class, but it was amazing to know that it can also be done in photoshop. I chose to animate a pixel heart and it'd different illustrations. Firstly, I drew a storyboard, which tells a little story about what's going to happen in the gif. It's basically an outline of the GIF.

It was a tedious task for me because I had to on and off each pixel of heart, I think I could have found a easier way to do this. I love the part where the heart pumps, the motion came out pretty well.
